Under the Udyogini Scheme, women in Karnataka can now avail interest-free loans up to ₹3 lakh to start or expand their own business. In some cases, the scheme also supports loans up to ₹4 lakh.
This benefit is provided through the Karnataka State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC) under the Department of Women and Child Development.
For the financial year 2025–26, applications are open for the following schemes:
- Udyogini
- Chenetha
- Dhanashree
- Minority (Lingayat) Rehabilitation Scheme
Eligible women can submit applications online through the Seva Sindhu Portal until December 15, or they may apply at Bapuji Seva Kendras, Grama One, or Karnataka One centers.
Loan Benefits
- Maximum loan amount: ₹3 lakh
- No interest will be charged on the loan
- SC/ST, widows, and differently-abled women are eligible for a 50% subsidy on the loan amount, up to ₹90,000
- The government pays part of the loan, reducing the financial burden on women entrepreneurs
Eligibility Criteria
- Women between 18 and 55 years
- Annual family income should be below ₹2 lakh
- Applicants must not have defaulted on any previous loans
Loan Repayment
- Repayment period: 3 to 5 years
- Duration may vary depending on business type and bank rules
