The Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (GESCOM), which operates under the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), has released an important update regarding the Junior Powerman recruitment process. This latest notice is mainly for candidates who had applied for the recruitment during 2025 and have already completed most stages of the selection process.
According to the latest announcement from the department, the counselling date for the final stage of recruitment has been changed. Candidates who cleared the written exam and other tests must now attend counselling on the revised date announced by the department.
This update is important for both male and female candidates who participated in the recruitment process earlier. The counselling session will be the final step before receiving the appointment order for the job.
Recruitment Process So Far
The Junior Powerman recruitment conducted by GESCOM went through several stages to select eligible candidates. Applicants were required to complete the following selection stages:
- Written Examination
- Physical Efficiency Test
- Medical Examination
Candidates who successfully cleared these stages have now reached the final stage of the recruitment process, which includes counselling, document verification, and job posting selection.
During this final phase, officials will verify all candidate documents and confirm their eligibility before issuing the final appointment.
Counselling Date Postponed
Earlier, the counselling session was scheduled to be held on March 11, 2026. However, due to certain administrative reasons, the department has decided to postpone the counselling date.
The new counselling date has been fixed for March 24, 2026.
Candidates who are shortlisted must attend the counselling process on the new date without fail. Missing the counselling session may affect their chances of receiving the appointment.

What Happens During Counselling?

After completing these steps, candidates will either receive their appointment order on the same day or the appointment letter will be sent later through postal communication.
