Karnataka Computer Science Teacher Recruitment 2026: Draft Rules Released for 2,500 Posts – No B.Ed Required Initially

The Government of Karnataka has released a draft Gazette notification proposing the recruitment of 2,500 Computer Science Teachers for government schools. Candidates holding B.Sc (Computer Science), BCA, BIT, or B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science) degrees will be eligible to apply. Educational Qualification

Kannada Language Requirement

Candidates without a B.Ed degree can still apply and be selected. However, after joining the service, they must:

  • Complete a B.Ed degree from an NCTE-recognized institution within 5 years.
  • Pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) within 5 years of appointment.

Failure to fulfill these conditions within the prescribed period may attract action as per government rules.
