A new recruitment notification has been released for Anganwadi positions in Andhra Pradesh, offering a valuable opportunity for eligible women candidates. The recruitment is being conducted in Nandyal district under six ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) projects. A total of 07 Anganwadi Worker (Main Worker) posts and 101 Anganwadi Helper (Aaya) posts are available. One of the major highlights of this notification is that no written examination is required, making it accessible for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the posts of Anganwadi Worker and Helper, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have passed at least 10th standard (SSC) from a recognized board. - Marital Status & Residency:
Candidates must be married women and should be local residents of the respective area where the vacancy exists. - Age Limit:
As of 01 July 2025, applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age. - Special Relaxation:
In SC/ST habitation areas, if no eligible candidates aged 21 years are available, candidates who have completed 18 years may also be considered.
Required Documents
Applicants need to submit self-attested photocopies of the following documents along with the application form:
- Proof of Date of Birth / Age Certificate
- Caste Certificate (for SC, ST, and OBC candidates)
- 10th Class Marks Memo
- Residential Certificate
- If widowed: Husband’s Death Certificate and children’s age proof (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (for differently-abled candidates, issued by a competent authority)
- Aadhaar Card and Ration Card
Application Process
Interested and eligible candidates must apply offline. The application form, along with all required documents, should be submitted to the concerned CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) office.

- Applications will be accepted only on working days.
Candidates must ensure that all documents are properly attached and self-attested before submission. Late or incomplete applications may be rejected.
Selection Process
The selection process does not involve any written examination. Candidates will likely be selected based on eligibility criteria, merit (such as marks obtained in 10th class), and government reservation rules.
